Bootstrapped. We're not a SaaS, have minimal infrastructure, and no employees, so we're not in danger of running out of cash
What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?
Docker
Where is your customer data stored?
USA
What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
The first pain point the product was created to solve was that when you buy an expensive enterprise MTA like PowerMTA you then additionally need to implement a potentially costly and time consuming bespoke email marketing infrastructure around it.
A high performance MTA can send millions of messages an hour, but ultimately it's just acting as another SMTP Relay. You still need contact list management, campaigns, autoresponders, segmenting, forms, etc to manage the email you're sending through the MTA, just like at an ESP.
The original concept was to build our own enterprise grade MTA which came integrated into email marketing software working together in a holistic ecosystem out of the box.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Delivering email is cheap, but quality email marketing software is expensive.
High-volume senders can achieve low CPMs on API and Relay services like SparkPost, SES, and Mailgun, but only if you have the software to drive them.
Email marketing applications that connect to 3rd party ESP APIs and Relays are typically entry-level frontends with restrictions on the number of domains, brands, contact list size, sending volume limits, and often have unsatisfactory performance. Plus all the other caps, feature locks, and upsells.
As your sending volume increases on ESPs, they will often push you towards dedicated IP addresses and off of the shared IP pool, once you're segregated onto your own dedicated IPs, now you're effectively paying a CPM as just a software fee since you've already become responsible for managing your entire sending reputation yourself.
Sending over dedicated IPs you own at a server hosting provider or in your data center instead of the ESP's dedicated IPs requires a $12k-$25k investment in PowerMTA or an equivalent, but an MTA merely acts as another SMTP relay, you still need ESP software.
EmailDelivery.com solves all of the above.
